Frequently Asked Questions:

1) How much are tickets and can I purchase more than one?

Tickets are $100.00 each, with considerable discounts for multiple ticket purchasers. Three (3) may be purchased for only $255 ($85 each), or five (5) tickets may be purchased for only $350 ($70 each).

2) Can tickets be shared?

While you are welcome to "share" tickets, only one eligible person may be entered per raffle ticket sold. If the name of more than one person is submitted with a ticket purchase, and that ticket is selected as a winning ticket, then the person named first will be deemed the holder of record of that ticket and declared the winner. Division of prize by a group purchasing a ticket in common shall be to the sole responsibility of the person named as the holder of record of that ticket, should that ticket be selected as a winner. The drawing for prizes is open to the public, but the winner does not need to be present to win.

3) How do I purchase tickets?

An individual can purchase as many tickets as he or she may wish, subject to availability.

To purchase tickets: Use the order form provided and fax the order form to 831-622-0703, or you may mail it to California Dream Raffle, c/o PacRep Theatre, PO BOX 222035, Carmel, CA 99322 or call 1-866-622-0709 providing your name, address, phone number along with your credit card number, credit card security code and expiration date. Tickets cannot be purchased on the raffle website or by email. Any entry form submitted by email will be rejected. All entries must include payment by check, money order or credit card. Pacific Repertory Theatre reserves the right to reject any entry form that is submitted with payment that does not constitute "good funds." No refunds will be made except under the following circumstances: any ticket order with payment received after 11,500 tickets have been sold, will be returned. No other refunds are available except at the exclusive discretion of Pacific Repertory Theatre. Pacific Repertory Theatre assumes no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected or non-delivered mail or fax messages, or any other failure to receive orders or deliver receipts prior to the drawing deadlines.

4) What are the odds?

The odds of winning a prize will depend on the number of tickets sold. A maximum of 11,500 tickets will be sold and the chances of winning are based on that number. If all 11,500 tickets are sold the odds of winning the Grand Prize is 1 in 11,500, and the odds of winning a prize are 1 in 39. If fewer tickets are sold, your chances of winning the Grand prize and other prizes improve. The early bird car raffle will not take place until 750 tickets are sold, making the odds for the car 1 in 750.

5) How are winners selected?

The California Dream Raffle drawing will be held when 750 tickets have been sold. Winners need not be present to win. The Grand Prize drawing will be held under the supervision of an independent raffle auditor. All drawings are open to the public. Winners will be notified according to the contact information provided to Pacific Repertory Theatre at the time of ticket purchase. If the grand prize winner cannot be located within 30 days of the official drawing, after attempting to make contact through the information provided at the time of purchasing the ticket, such winner will be deemed ineligible and another winner will be selected for such prize. In addition to the list of winners posted on the Pacific Repertory Theatre web site, a list of winners may be obtained from Pacific Repertory Theatre or by sending a self-address, stamped envelope to California Dream Home Raffle, PO BOX 222035, Carmel, CA 99322 within one week of the drawing. In order to collect his or her prize, a ticket winner must sign and deliver to Pacific Repertory Theatre: (a) a sworn affidavit of eligibility in accordance with these Rules and applicable law, including without limitation that he or she is at least 18 years old; (b) such written information as is required by any applicable tax and/or real estate laws, including without limitation his or her Social Security Number; (c) proof of identity in forms satisfactory to the Pacific Repertory Theatre showing that the person claiming the prize is the same person who is named on the winning raffle ticket.; and (d) the winning ticket stub. Winners of prizes of $1,000 or more may be required to submit a W-2G, Form 5754 or similar tax form (provided by Pacific Repertory Theatre) for tax withholding purposes.

6) Who is eligibile?

Anyone 18 years of age or older may enter. Employees and members of the Board of Directors of Pacific Repertory Theatre, employees of their agents, consultants, attorney, independent accountant firm, their spouses and children living in the same household are excluded from participating and are not eligible to win a prize. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. The raffle is void where prohibited or restricted by law. An affidavit of eligibility may be required from prize winners.

7) What are the prizes?

The Grand Prize Drawing for California Dream Raffle will be held on on a date determined by raffle officials if all 11,500 tickets are sold. The Grand Prize winner must claim their prize no later than 5:00 p.m. 30 days after the drawing. The Grand Prize referred to in all raffle materials is "Up to $250,000", and will be paid in 20 annual installments of up to $12,500.00 each.

The Early Bird prize of a 2009 Honda Civic Hybrid will be drawn from the first 500 tickets sold. A minimum of 10,000 tickets must be sold by 5pm, July 15, 2009 for the Grand Prize winning $250,000 cash prize to be awarded. If fewer than 10,000 tickets are sold by 5pm Friday July 17, 2009, the raffle will be held once a total of 750 tickets are sold, and prizes will be awarded according to the prize chart below. In this case the Grand Prize winner will instead receive a sum equal to 25% of the gross raffle proceeds, not to exceed $250,000, and shall be based on Pacific Repertory Theatre's official accounting, which shall be final and conclusive with respect to the Grand Prize Winner, and all other winners. For these purposes gross proceeds are defined as the total of all raffle ticket sales. At the option of Pacific Repertory Theatre, the drawing date for the grand prize may take place earlier if all raffle tickets have been sold prior to June 1, 2009.

8) What's so special about purchasing early?

For those who buy before the specific deadlines listed below, each ticket purchased will be eligible for all drawings held after the purchase date, as recorded on the ticket record. This rule applys to all early bird prize entrants including all early bird winners. Specifically, the winning ticket of any Early Bird raffle will be re-entered into the official raffle drum immediately preceding the close of that Early Bird raffle.
